AGENSO, in collaboration with the Fire Department and within the framework of the digiGOV innoHUB initiative, has developed an innovative flood risk assessment and early warning system.
The system leverages data from AGENSO’s weather stations and water level sensors to detect conditions that could lead to flooding. By combining real-time information such as recorded rainfall, the weather forecast and the water levels of rivers and streams, it can accurately predict potential flood events and issue timely alerts to the relevant authorities.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in disaster prevention and the enhancement of civil protection, harnessing the power of IoT technologies and smart data-driven systems.
