As part of UEFA’s “The Greener Football” initiative, AGENSO, in collaboration with the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), is implementing automated irrigation systems in football fields across Greece.
The equipment includes technologies developed by AGENSO, such as weather stations, soil moisture sensors, and electric valves, enabling automated and targeted irrigation control. By collecting and analyzing environmental data, the system accurately determines the required amount of water, promoting efficient water resource management and reducing overall consumption.
The first installation has already been completed at the stadium of Asteras Tripolis.
